Global Gardeners is an early-stage, independent gardening community operated by Global Gardeners LLC. It is being built as a welcoming place where gardeners can learn, connect, share, identify plants, track their gardens, and keep ownership of their garden data.
Why Global Gardeners Exists
My passion for gardening took root in 2019 when I relocated to Connecticut, where I founded VicwickGardens as a platform to immerse myself in the world of horticulture and lay the groundwork for countless gardening adventures. This endeavor has not only cultivated my love for nurturing plants but also sown seeds of hope and growth for the future.
In 2020, I discovered the GardenTags app while searching for plant care insights, marking my first connection with a vibrant community of gardeners. Engaging with fellow growers fueled my enthusiasm, offering support when I faced challenges—like the loss of my first seedling—and fostering friendships that enriched my journey.
Global Gardeners was created by Vicki Keim after GardenTags shut down in 2025 with little notice. Gardeners lost access to a valued community and years of plant histories. That experience inspired Vicki to create a new home where gardeners can preserve their own garden journeys while building connections with one another.
Our Mission
Our mission is to give gardeners of all experience levels a warm, useful place to learn from one another, share what they are growing, identify plants, organize and track their gardens, and retain ownership of the garden information and memories they choose to keep here.
As an early-stage community, Global Gardeners will continue to grow thoughtfully with the people who use it.
